We have a sewage ejector pump we call it the anti-Christ. It's bad when the pump breaks...or the power goes off. Over time, not perfectly odor free. Gets the job done most of time. Have to listen out while showering or flushing. You need to hear it pump once in a while.

I'm not sure I necessarily have a unique storage solution, but I do have a comment on clutter. As interior designer, my partner and I often find that clients are ovewhelmed and don't know where or how to begin to declutter. A very helpful question we ask is, "What are the things you love? What are the things that sustain you?" Often this will help them to break through their mental logjamb and begin to make some reasonable and basic decisions.

Yes, space can be a big issue. I'm not sure if you have an extra bedroom where you maybe be able to utilize this space as a man cave. Possibly with a sleeper sofa for guests to use... that way the bedroom can still serve its purpose.

There honestly is no reason why you can not design your family or living room in this way. Possibly the best bet would be to incorporate some items that you and your man both want. Possibly what you want to room to look like, but allow the recliner and big screen television. If there room is near the kitchen and you can look into see the television. Do you have room for a bar here?

There has been talk about bronze appliances for a couple years now and I just don't see it catching on. I would think people would be tired of the stainless, but I have yet to see many kitchens without it!
